Snowfall
I experienced one of the greatest snowfalls in the US of A last week. Going by the news channels, it comes within top 10 of the greatest snowfalls recorded in this region. It was a good experience. We started for Washington DC at 6:30AM with a plan of reaching there at 8:30AM and then roaming around the capital, caring the least for what had been predicted. It turned out that snow had other plans for us. The snow storm was north bound, we were south bound, we both met at Maryland. Then driving in snow became increasingly fun (atleast for me). I don't know how it was for the driver though :-). Many vehicles stopped dead right in front of us and we would go and push them to safety.

The thing that I liked the most here was how people helped each other at such times. They didn't hesitate to call people who were walking and ask them if they wanted a lift some where. They got down from their cars and drove other's cars to safety. One other thing here is that their predictions. Till today, for the period I've been in the US, not once has their prediction gone wrong. Last week they mentioned that there will be heavy rain this weekend and here we go, the rains started pouring exactly today morning and are continuing to pour. One of the many things that we should probably not hesitate to learn from here.
